Program Notes

This piece was written for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. Since all three of us siblings play violin, and viola to a lesser extent, the original intent was for each of us to play a part. However, Amy ended up playing both violin 2 and viola, and Paul the first violin part in the recording (I’m super rusty, so I didn’t play at all, I just edited and mixed it). The piece is written in a late Romantic style, since both of my parents like it, even though it’s not my normal style.
