Program Notes

This short piece was a finalist in the Northern California Viola Society Composition Competition in 2023. It is based around two chords, Eb-Bb-D-G# and C#-A-E-C, which alternate throughout the piece. It starts with a slower, chordal section and then erupts into a fast toccata.
